INTIMATE SYSTEMS, Flagg Building, West Gallery, Corcoran School of Arts and Design, George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA.
3 Pieces, drawing on two layers & paper formation.
The elements in Mina Nasr’s work are taken from the architectural style of Washington D.C., representing the shape and concept of the traditional political institution. Through the daily experiences of exposure to these visual structures, the experience of the city was reflected in a free and different way, where the elements are accumulated in the form of experimental compositions in an attempt to adapt inside an alternative reality. This appears sometimes in a state of convergence and divergence that calls possibilities and explanations.
